Dermatix review

Dermatix scar removal cream works by using silicone as its main ingredient to effectively reduce scars. However, it does not guarantee that scars are removed completely as only surgical procedures can resolve most serious scar issues. Many noticeable scars might be embarrassing and possibly cause the person to have some lack of self-esteem or self-confidence, but Dermatix can claim to assist greatly in diminishing scar appearances when it comes to keloidal and hypertrophic scars, as well as those resulting from surgery and/or injuries. Scientific studies have concluded that effective diminishment only works successfully if the silicone being used is not only pure, but undiluted. Dermatix has an additional ingredient, vitamin C ester. This vitamin has not yet been proven to have any beneficial effects in regards to the reduction of scars. Other ingredients include Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Dimethicone, Polysilicone-11, Phenyl Trimethicone and Cyclopentasiloxane.

Dermatix scar removal cream comes in a one ounce (thirty gram) sized tube. The cream appears to be somewhat effective when it comes to scar treatment. However, the concern is that the additional ingredients might be reducing the silicone’s effectiveness, even though vitamin C has been shown to brighten skin appearance and help with pigmentation reduction. In addition, vitamin C has been clearly demonstrated to help promote collagen formation, something that is one of the main components of scar tissues in general. Therefore, undiluted silicone applications may have more dramatic type effects and results.

Though Dermatix provides an effective way to reduce the appearance of scars, which cannot be denied, the claim that it removes the scar is somewhat unfounded and possibly deceptive. Though the scar removal cream has a reasonable rating, there are other products that are used through medical centers and hospitals that have much better results and are based on proven claims.

Dermatix is reasonably priced and can be found mainly in Europe. Most drug stores, online and in shopping areas carry the product in their pharmaceutical sections. However, it is possible to pick up a tube of the scar removal cream from the beauty sections, usually where all the skin products are located. Because only a dab of the cream has to be applied, the tube will last for at least a few weeks, making it an affordable beauty product.
